We are very impressed with Infinite Water. Nine months ago, we started looking for a solution to treat our well water that is high in sodium, fluorides and total dissolved solids. We live north of Calgary and sent samples of our water to a few local water filtering companies as well as Infinite Water. Infinite Water’s quote came in less than half of the lowest of the other quotes received. Kalen provided a very detailed explanation of why we needed a whole house reverse osmosis solution and how it would work. Another big plus for us was that Infinite Water’s solution was a Canadian made system which is important to us. The system consists of the reverse osmosis unit, triplex filters, UV disinfection unit, storage tank and a constant pressure pump. Kalen informed us that we were outside of their service are and would not be able to install the system, but they provided all the help required for us to install the system and get it running. Kalen was able to work with the system vendors so we could pick up the system components in Calgary or have them shipped to us. The system works wonderfully and after having our water tested, all the impurities are gone. We have also had excellent service from Infinite Water when ordering system consumables. I would definitely recommend Infinite Water to anyone with less than perfect water. They really try hard to satisfy their customer’s needs.

The city, which lies near the geographical center of the province, experiences a continental climate with cold, snowy winters and warm, sunny summers. Established in 1883 as a Temperance colony by settlers from Ontario, Saskatoon quickly became a significant hub for trade, agriculture, and transportation, particularly with the arrival of the Canadian Pacific Railway. Today, the city boasts a diverse economy driven by industries such as potash and uranium mining, agriculture, technology, and manufacturing. Home to the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon is also a center for research and innovation, particularly in fields like biotechnology and agricultural science. The city has a vibrant cultural scene, featuring festivals like the SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival and the Saskatoon Fringe Festival, as well as attractions such as the Remai Modern art gallery and the Western Development Museum. Saskatoon's Indigenous heritage is also deeply rooted in the city’s history, with a significant Métis and First Nations population contributing to its cultural fabric. The city is known for its network of riverfront parks, including the scenic Meewasin Valley Trail, which offers excellent opportunities for outdoor activities like biking, hiking, and kayaking. With a steadily growing population and a reputation for a high quality of life, Saskatoon continues to be a dynamic and evolving city in the heart of the Canadian Prairies. The Saskatoon branch was the first to open, with a Weyburn office opening its doors just 14 months later. 6 months after that, a branch location in Regina formed. In 2021, Regina expanded to a new location with twice the square footage, then added a second warehouse in 2023. With service technicians, installers, and sales reps based out of Melville, Emerald Park, Regina, Saskatoon, Hepburn, and Prince Albert, Infinite Water has built a large customer base across our expansive province by focusing on referral business from existing clients and has installed over 5,000 water systems province-wide, with over 3,200 annual service visits on various routes to every corner of Saskatchewan. Infinite Water has always focused on marketing to small towns and rural areas including farms, where the need is great and customers are often forgotten about by the city companies that can't or won't service the more remote areas of our expansive province (not affordably, anyways). It was found that there was a large gap in the existing water treatment market - companies are either branded which requires them to be exclusive to a particular brand (which greatly limit treatment options and affordability), focus only on one particular type of treatment (which prevents them from providing proper custom solutions for the individual household - there is no one size fits all approach in SK), or hold low-quality products manufactured in China. There is also a severe lack of water quality experts that possess water treatment designations through accredited institutions such as the Canadian Water Quality Association while having enough field experience to properly diagnose and treat problem rural water, including (or arguably, especially) at the "national brand" water companies. On the contrary, Infinite Water is 100% Saskatchewan-owned and independent, holding products from nearly every major manufacturer, allowing us maximum versatility, and with volume (full truckload) pricing and over 10,000 SKUs, we can access any non-proprietary water treatment equipment or consumables - from water softeners to iron filters to replacement filters - for better pricing than our competitors. The best system or water technology for your neighbor may not be best for you. And, by marketing North-American manufactured products with an industry-leading warranty combined with an included installation and ongoing service package, low-cost consumables, and custom-designed solutions, we believe we have created a product and service that is unique. We don't care about being the biggest, and we have no desire to scale past the borders of our own province. We are proudly local and have been financially healthy since our first month after opening our doors. Instead of focusing on rapid growth and endless profit growth, we are content with focusing our resources on providing the best care we can to our clients. We take pride in the fact that almost 50% of our new business comes from referrals and that we have maintained most of our prices since inception - as inflation has risen, our efficiency and volume pricing has improved to offset those costs. And, we love to hear clients' reaction in hearing that we don't charge mileage for annual service visits province-wide - whether our clients live in Lloydminster, Maple Creek, Oxbow, or Hudson Bay. We are big enough to have an established reputation with a strong customer base and field experience, but small enough for our owners and managers to remember you by name when you stop into our office or visit us at a tradeshow. And, supporting Infinite Water keeps your investment in our local economy. We hope you'll introduce yourself, and we'll try to help you in any way we can. We're less interested in selling you a new water system today and more focused on helping you in any way we can, in the process creating a relationship with you and your family that keeps you coming back to us as your go-to water treatment company for life. Frequently Asked UV Water Filter Questions:

Do UV water filters really work?

Yes, UV water filters are highly effective at disinfecting water by using ultraviolet light to kill or inactivate bacteria, viruses, and other harmful microorganisms. They work by exposing water to UV-C light, which disrupts the DNA of pathogens, preventing them from reproducing. However, UV filters do not remove sediment, chemicals, or heavy metals, so they are often used in combination with other filtration systems for comprehensive water purification.

What are the disadvantages of UV water purifiers?

UV water purifiers are effective at disinfecting water but have some disadvantages. They do not remove sediments, chemicals, or heavy metals, so additional filtration is often required. UV purifiers also require electricity to function, making them less suitable for areas with unreliable power sources. Additionally, their effectiveness depends on water clarity—murky or cloudy water can reduce UV penetration, making pre-filtration necessary. Regular maintenance, including bulb replacement, is also needed to ensure consistent performance.

Which is better, RO or UV?

RO (Reverse Osmosis) and UV (Ultraviolet) water purifiers serve different purposes, and the better option depends on water quality. RO purifiers remove dissolved salts, heavy metals, and contaminants, making them ideal for hard or highly contaminated water. However, they also remove essential minerals and waste water in the process. UV purifiers, on the other hand, are excellent for disinfecting water by killing bacteria and viruses without altering the water’s mineral content. For the best purification, a combination of RO and UV systems is often recommended.

How much does it cost to install a UV water treatment system?

The cost to install a UV water treatment system typically ranges from $300 to $1,500, depending on the system size, brand, and installation complexity. Basic residential UV purifiers can cost between $150 and $500, while higher-end systems with additional filtration can exceed $1,000. Professional installation may add $100 to $500, depending on labor rates and plumbing modifications. Maintenance costs, including bulb replacements, usually range from $50 to $150 per year.
